Unlike dogs, cats are less likely to contract urinary tract infections. However, they could suffer from inflammation which produces the same effect as that of UTI. Feline urinary tract infection, better known as feline urinary tract disease or FLUTD has a damaging effect to the cat’s urinary bladder and urethra, causing the cat to suffer from intense pain and restlessness.
