If you have recently switched the type of litter that you use in your litter box your cat may have stopped using the litter box, this happens for several reasons. For certain cats, they develop a texture preference after awhile. Essentially they develop a habit of always using clay litter for example. And now you switch to a pine litter, where there is a totally different feel for the cat.
