How it works
Instant Fence is a revolutionary new concept that provides the safest, simplest form of pet containment ever. You plug in a transmitter somewhere inconspicuously in your home. It emits a radio signal around your home. Your pet wears a lightweight receiver collar which listens for the signal. While its receiving the signal, your dog is free to run and play. When it approaches the boundary of the signal area, it receives a warning beep. If it continues, it receives a light static energy pulse which is startling but not harmful. With a little training that is simple and quick, your pet quickly learns its boundaries. Setting the boundaries of your yard takes only a few minutes by adjusting the range on the transmitter, from a radius of just a few feet to up to 90 feet.

Setting up your Instant Fence takes only minutes and a video is included to show you how. The transmitter plugs into any standard 110 volt outlet. Since the signal can transmit reliably through walls or other household obstructions, it can be placed in any convenient and discreet location in your house, typically a garage or closet. A small dial allows you to adjust the signal area.

Training is simple and easy and a video is included to show you how. Once you have adjusted the signal to the perimeter you want, mark the boundary by placing small training flags at the edge of the signal area. Helping select the proper collar size for your pet

The collar for the RoamEO GPS Pet Location System is a critical component to the proper operation of the system. The antenna for the GPS module resides in the collar. To maximize satellite reception for the GPS module, it is important that the collar is orientated so that the plastic case is at the bottom of your dog's neck. The collar is designed so that this will occur naturally so long as it is applied slightly loose (but not hanging) on the neck. Here are some considerations when selecting a collar size for your dog:

1. 
   Measure the length of your current collar. Based on this number, you can select the RoamEO collar that best matches the length of your current collar. Please make sure that you take into account your dog's age and chances for future growth and allow for the collar to be worn slightly loose around the neck.
   
   
2. Measure the circumference of your dog's neck. If it's easier or practical, you can measure the circumference of your dog's neck. Again, please remember to account for your dog's future growth and for the collar to be worn slightly loose around the neck.

   Each RoamEO system consists of a portable, handheld receiver that displays information received from the GPS-enabled collar on your dog. The handheld device uses a color LCD to show the location, direction and velocity of your pet. RoamEO is designed to update readings every few seconds, giving you a continuous stream of real-time information.
   
   RoamEO uses an ordinary collar that is equipped with GPS technology. Just snap the collar on your dog, turn it on, and RoamEO is operational. The RoamEO handheld unit can track up to three dogs simultaneously. A collar is required for each dog.
   
   RoamEO has been designed so that you can set up a GPS Fence. RoamEO uses GPS coordinates that you establish by walking the perimeter of your desired fence, and commits them to memory. If your pet exits this perimeter, an audible alarm will sound. For example, you may wish to establish your property line as the perimeter for your pet. After setting up your fence, this information would be stored in your system and if your dog wanders off your property, the alarm will sound. Because this boundary is electronic, you can erase and create new ones as often as you like, giving you the flexibility for any situation or condition.

The Scat Pet Mat is a valuable aid in training your pets to avoid areas you want to protect. Simply place the Scat Mat in a location you would like your pets to avoid. When he touches the Scat Mat, he receives a mild static shock and will quickly learn to stay away from that area. If your dog or cat has a habit of rolling, scratching and shedding on your rug, Scat Mat will encourage him to move elsewhere. If the cat likes to stand at your bird cage and frighten the birds, Scat Mat will end that annoyance.

There is never any danger of injury to your pets. Scat Mat adjusts to 3 levels of correction, all in the range of familiar static shocks. After one or two encounters, your pet will associate the corrections with the area where his mischief occurred and avoid those areas. Since the Scat Mat is battery powered you can move it to other problem areas. The Scat Mat uses one 9 volt battery.
